Short bio

Professor Angeles G. Navarro is the co-leader with Dr. Rafael Asenjo of the Parallel Programming Models and Compilers research group at the Dept. of Computer Architecture. Her research interest is on programming models and runtime environments for heterogeneous architectures. Her scientific production can be summarized in more than 90 publications in journals and international conferences. She has advised 7 doctoral thesis and has been the PI of 4 R+D+i competitive projects. She is an external evaluator in ANEP, a member of the Committee of experts in the ANECA, and member of the Committee of Experts in the EU FP7 and H2020 frameworks. She has carried out 11 research stays in international research centres.

Actividades formativas y de divulgación dirigidas a chicas de la ESO quienes abordarán un proyecto tecnológico durante dos semanas. El objetivo principal es conseguir aumentar el número de vocaciones femeninas en estudios de ingeniería y adicionalmente cambiar la percepción de estos y desechar estereotipos.

La comisión de Mujer en Informática de la SCIE tiene como objetivo analizar la situación actual de las mujeres en informática y canalizar las acciones que se están desarrollando desde las diferentes escuelas de informática y sociedades científicas con el fin de establecer sinergias y buscar medidas a nivel nacional que permitan reducir la brecha existente.
