The Video and Image Processing research group is involved in both the development of new techniques for image and video analysis and the efficient programming of these techniques on parallel architectures.

The main emphasis themes are:

• Image segmentation
• Temporal video segmentation
• Automatic video annotation
• Video surveillance applications
• Hardware accelerators for video and image processing
• Parallel programming in heterogenous computing systems
