Members of the Video and Image Processing research group have been actively participating in technology transfer projects in the area of video analysis.

Automatic analysis of airport processes

Description: In this project, a video surveillance system was developed to monitor automatically different airport processes.It was integrated with the application PROMISYS by the company AERIAM. Development of a video surveillance system based on image processing

Description: In this project a video surveillance prototype was developed for the company ADIF (Administrador de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias) to detect obstacles in railways (read more).
Development and integration of audiovisual information systems

Funded by the company Tecnologias Digitales Audiovisuales (TEDIAL), Duration: Six years (2001-2006)
Description: In this project a set of libraries for indexation and edition of the Advanced Stream Format (ASF) were developed. In addition, an efficent method for signature generaton from video and audio was implemented. The methos was integrated in the capture module of a video archive system and it was used to compare video and audio clips. Also, video logotype and text detection techniques were developed.
Development and integration of a video archive and e-commerce

Description: In this project a set of libraries for the MPEG stream indexation and edition were developed.In addition, a technique for storyboard (visual index) generation was implemented and integrated in a video archive system.
